About us
Born and raised in the mountainous Valais region of Switzerland, Sabin and Susan Imhasly are felt artists now based in New Zealand. They are fascinated by the alchemy of the felting process during which loose, fragile wool fibres turn into a solid fabric. In their work they use both traditional nomadic and modern feltmaking techniques. Felt offers them the versatility to create fine art objects, garments, fashion accessories and interior design. Their work is strongly influenced by the organic shapes, patterns and lines of nature and a desire to push boundaries. Sabin and Susan exhibit in galleries and their work can be found in private collections. They enjoy sharing their passion for this ancient skill and frequently run courses and workshops for all ages and abilities.
